Local Courier Services - SPX Express
Local Courier Service from Kuala Lumpur to All Malaysia
Newfly provides local courier delivery services from Kuala Lumpur to destinations across Malaysia through the SPX Express delivery network.
This service is suitable for businesses, e-commerce sellers, online stores, live-selling merchants and customers who regularly send parcels from Kuala Lumpur to customers throughout Malaysia.
Shipments are processed from our Kuala Lumpur side before being handed over to the courier network for sorting, transportation and last-mile delivery.
Delivery Coverage
Our local courier service supports deliveries from Kuala Lumpur to major cities, towns and serviceable locations throughout Malaysia.
Coverage includes destinations within Peninsular Malaysia as well as selected destinations in Sabah and Sarawak, subject to the courier's actual service coverage and postcode availability.
Remote areas, islands, restricted-access locations and certain special delivery zones may require additional transit time or may be subject to additional charges.
Customers may provide the destination postcode before shipping if confirmation of delivery coverage is required.
Estimated Delivery Time
For normal deliveries within Peninsular Malaysia, the estimated transit time is generally:
1–3 Working Days
Actual delivery time depends on destination, collection time, parcel processing, courier routing and local delivery conditions.
Deliveries to East Malaysia, remote areas or special delivery locations may require a longer transit time.
The stated transit time is an estimate and not an absolute delivery guarantee. Public holidays, peak shopping periods, weather conditions, operational delays and other circumstances may affect the final delivery schedule.
Suitable for E-Commerce and Regular Business Shipments
This service is particularly suitable for businesses that send parcels regularly.
Typical users include e-commerce sellers, Shopee and other marketplace sellers, online stores, social commerce businesses, TikTok or live-selling merchants, wholesalers, retailers and companies sending products or documents to customers throughout Malaysia.
Customers with regular daily or monthly shipment volumes may contact us for a commercial courier rate based on their actual shipping profile.
Higher shipment volumes may allow us to evaluate a more suitable business rate compared with normal retail courier pricing.
Suitable Shipment Types
The service can be used for many types of normal domestic parcels, including clothing, accessories, household products, business documents, product samples, e-commerce orders, general merchandise, small parts and regular commercial products.
Acceptance of goods is still subject to the courier's transportation requirements.
Sensitive, restricted, high-value, fragile, liquid, battery-related, chemical or other special products should be declared before shipment.
Do not send uncertain products without checking first.
Parcel Weight and Size
Courier charges are determined according to the parcel's chargeable weight.
Depending on the applicable courier rate structure, chargeable weight may be based on the higher of the parcel's actual weight or volumetric weight.
For example, a lightweight but very large carton can be charged according to its volumetric weight rather than its physical weight.
Customers who require an accurate quotation should provide the actual parcel weight together with the length, width and height of the carton.
Final measurements are subject to the courier or warehouse's actual measurement.
Oversized, overweight or irregularly shaped parcels may require separate checking before acceptance.
Collection from Kuala Lumpur
Pickup arrangements may be available for customers located within selected areas of Kuala Lumpur, depending on shipment volume, collection location and operational schedule.
For customers with regular parcel volume, we can evaluate a scheduled collection arrangement based on the actual number of parcels shipped daily or monthly.
Customers may also arrange to deliver their parcels to our designated collection point where applicable.
Parcel Processing
Before parcels enter the courier network, customers should ensure that all shipments are properly packed and labelled.
The receiver's information should include the correct name, complete delivery address, postcode and valid telephone number.
Incomplete or incorrect delivery information may cause delays, unsuccessful delivery attempts or parcel returns.
The parcel should also be packed strongly enough to withstand normal courier sorting, transfer, loading and last-mile delivery operations.
Tracking
A tracking number will normally be available after the parcel has been processed and entered into the courier system.
Customers can use the tracking number to follow the parcel through the courier network.
Tracking information may include parcel collection, sorting hub processing, transportation between facilities, arrival at the destination delivery station and final delivery.
Tracking updates may not appear immediately after the parcel is handed over.
Failed Delivery
A delivery attempt may fail if the receiver cannot be contacted, the delivery address is incorrect, the receiver is unavailable, access to the location is restricted or the parcel is refused.
Depending on the courier's procedures, another delivery attempt may be made or the parcel may eventually be returned to the sender.
Additional return, re-delivery or special handling charges may apply where applicable.
Customers should therefore confirm the receiver's details before arranging shipment.
Packaging Responsibility
Courier parcels pass through multiple sorting and transportation stages.
Normal operations may include conveyor sorting, warehouse handling, loading, unloading, transportation between distribution centres and last-mile delivery.
Customers should therefore use suitable packaging according to the type of product being shipped.
Fragile products should have adequate internal cushioning and a sufficiently strong outer carton.
Products with empty space inside the carton should be secured so that they cannot move excessively during transportation.
For products that are particularly fragile, expensive or easily damaged, additional protective packaging should be considered before shipment.
Restricted and Special Goods
Certain products cannot be treated as ordinary courier parcels.
These may include dangerous goods, flammable products, compressed gases, explosives, certain chemicals, illegal products, cash, valuable documents, certain batteries and other goods restricted by transportation regulations.
Some liquids, cosmetics, food products, electronic products or battery-containing products may also require additional checking depending on their exact nature.
If the product is uncertain, customers should provide a photo and an accurate product description before sending the parcel to us.
Parcel Declaration
Customers are responsible for providing an accurate description of the goods being shipped.
Do not use vague descriptions such as “items”, “goods”, “sample” or “accessories” when a more specific product description can be provided.
For example, instead of declaring “accessories”, use descriptions such as “mobile phone case”, “plastic garment accessories” or “metal machine spare parts”.
Accurate information helps reduce problems if the shipment requires further checking.
Loss Compensation
If a parcel is officially confirmed lost during transportation, compensation is subject to the applicable transportation and claim terms.
Under Newfly's current parcel loss policy, the maximum compensation is based on RM300 or three times the freight charge, whichever is lower.
Freight charges already paid are not refundable.
Supporting documents such as proof of purchase, invoice, product value and shipment information may be required during the claim process.
High-value goods should not rely solely on standard courier liability protection.
Charges
Courier rates depend on factors such as parcel weight, parcel dimensions, delivery destination, shipment volume and any additional services required.
Customers with regular shipment volume should provide their estimated daily or monthly parcel quantity so that we can evaluate the most suitable commercial courier arrangement.
Additional charges may apply for remote areas, oversized parcels, overweight parcels, returned shipments, special handling or other services where applicable.
Information Required for a Quotation
For a more accurate courier rate, please provide your estimated daily or monthly parcel volume together with the average parcel weight, typical parcel dimensions, pickup location and main delivery destinations.
If your business ships different types of parcels, providing two or three common parcel sizes will allow us to evaluate the rate structure more accurately.
