Warehouse Daily: Why Shipping Marks Make a Big Difference

Warehouse Daily: Why Shipping Marks Make a Big Difference

Every day, shipments from different cities across China arrive at the Newfly warehouse.

Recently, a customer asked us to check whether a shipment had arrived. However, the supplier had not attached a shipping mark, and no tracking number was available. The only reference provided was a photo of the carton.

At first glance, this may seem sufficient. In reality, it can be quite challenging.

Our warehouse receives many cartons every day, and many of them have similar sizes and identical brown packaging. Without a shipping mark or tracking number, locating one specific carton takes additional time and careful verification.

Our warehouse team reviewed the receiving records, delivery time, carton dimensions and packaging details before successfully identifying the correct shipment and completing the receiving process.

To help avoid unnecessary delays, we recommend asking your supplier to:

* Keep the courier tracking number.
* Attach a shipping mark or customer reference label.
* Inform us before the shipment arrives whenever possible.

These simple steps help speed up warehouse receiving and improve the overall shipping process.

At Newfly, our China warehouse provides cargo receiving, warehouse storage, carton consolidation, inspection, packing and China-to-Malaysia sea and air freight services every day.
